• Since the inception of the “Flowers For Friends” project seven months ago, we have received flower donations from over 50 different sources including weddings, a regional service group conference, churches, funerals and a floral association expo. 

• Overall, troop members have made and hand delivered over 2500 arrangements to community members in need at 20 different non-profit destinations.

• Troop members have made presentations to more than 20 area service groups.

• The project team made a presentation to the Petoskey School Board during school board recognition month, met with Representative Gary McDowell and has upcoming meetings set with Senator Jason Allen.

• “Flowers For Friends” has had 6 print articles published about the project, one editorial and was featured on a TV news story, as well.

• Team members have received innumerable hugs and kisses from flower recipients, which are priceless, and a great deal of satisfaction knowing that a small act of kindness can remarkably alter someone’s day for the better.
